Lords of the River

This series was an assignment with the Management and Ecology of Malaysian Elephants. The motive behind the expedition was to gather reliable evidence-based data on the behaviors and ecology of wild asian elephants. Finding for fresh dung samples to study their population via genetic sampling, conducting transect surveys to understand fruit and seed dispersal, reading GPS signals from collars to monitor their movement and setting up trap cameras along trails were part of the itinerary. These images were part of campaigns and made countless appearances in wildlife conservation conferences, both online and offline. They were also exhibited during the 29th International Congress for Conservation Biology (ICCB) at KLCC in 2019.
